Job Description
The VITAS program utilizes a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide direct bedside nursing care to terminally ill patients in a compassionate and supportive manner. This role involves assessing patient needs, administering treatments and medications, and monitoring patient conditions in collaboration with a Registered Nurse. The LPN/LVN assists in the team’s interdisciplinary plan of care and contributes to patient and family education, and participates in professional development.
Requirements
- Maintain transportation and meet liability requirements
- Must have and maintain a valid license to practice nursing
- Provide direct skilled nursing care
- Operate in a safe environment and maintain accurate documentation.
