Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct bedside nursing care to terminally ill patients at VITAS healthcare. This involves assessing patient needs, administering treatments and medications, and providing supportive care based on the plan of care. The role requires collaboration with a registered nurse and a team manager to ensure patient well-being and independence.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain transportation to be used for work with required liability insurance and license.
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year of which is an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
