Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

This position requires a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to administer nursing care to terminally ill patients admitted to VITAS. LPNs will provide skilled bedside nursing care, evaluate patient needs, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and assist with medication administration. The role emphasizes patient and family engagement, proactive monitoring, and documentation in clinical notes.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain transportation
• Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing
• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located
• At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience (at least one year in a hospital setting with adult medical surgical units)
• At least one year of LPN/LVN experience
