The licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) will administer nursing care to terminally ill patients, following the Nurse Practice Act. This role involves providing direct patient care, evaluating patient needs, and implementing the plan of care. Documentation and team collaboration are essential. The position is full-time and requires a commitment to fulfilling the required duties and responsibilities.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing
- Licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience
- Experience in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit is preferred
- Transportation to travel to patients' homes, with appropriate liability insurance and license.
- Willingness to work on flexible schedules, including weekends and rotating shifts
