Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse, RN, is a member of the interdisciplinary team providing care to hospice patients and families facing terminal illness. Responsibilities include case management, supervision of nursing tasks, assessment of patients and families, and documentation. The RN supports the team in providing care in accordance with VITAS standards and is responsible for infection control and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where VITAS is located.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or community health in the last five years.
• Regularly required to lift and transfer patients, stand/walk for over an hour per day, and talk/hear.
