Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse, RN, is a vital member of the interdisciplinary team responsible for providing coordinated care to hospice patients and families. They collaborate to ensure patients’ physical, medical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual needs are met, providing assessment, implementation of care plans, and patient education. The RN will follow VITAS policies and standards, report requests appropriately, and contribute to quality improvements and professional development.

Requirements

• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located
• Reliable transportation with adequate insurance coverage
• Telephone available
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or community health (last 5 years)
