State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)/Home Health Aide (HHA)

VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care to hospice patients, augmenting care provided by family members. Responsibilities include home health assistance, meal preparation, ambulation, treatment monitoring, patient education, and documentation. The role requires adherence to written assignments and ongoing training.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• 75 hours of training as specified in 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36 and 484.36(a)(1)
• Successful completion of a Competency Evaluation program
• State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA, CT, Homemaker-Home Health Aide, IL, HHA, NA, KS)
