Job Description
VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care and services to hospice patients, augmenting care given by family members or caregivers. HHA assignments may include bathing, meal preparation, ambulation assistance, and treatments as prescribed by the physician. They are responsible for following written assignments, observing patient status, and reporting any changes.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 60 hours of documented training
- Competency evaluation completion
- State Allowable Training/Certification (CA, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CHHA, CT)
