Residential Counselor FT (7am-3pm M-F) (66016)

Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas is seeking a Residential Counselor to provide direct services to clients, promote independent living skills, and contribute to the development and utilization of skills necessary for independent living. The Residential Counselor will be responsible for assessing client rehabilitation needs, developing and implementing individual rehabilitation plans, and providing crisis services, including intensive support and assistance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience working in a mental health residential setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast healthcare environment
• Experience with Microsoft Suite
