Job Description
The Residential Counselor is responsible for providing direct services to clients, promoting independent living skills, and contributing to the development of individual rehabilitation plans. The role involves assessing client needs, providing crisis services, and ensuring a safe residential environment. The Residential Counselor also provides basic health teaching and prevention of communicable diseases, as well as transporting clients and ensuring vehicle maintenance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least two years of experience in a mental health residential setting or social service related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast healthcare environment
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Power-point, Excel, Word etc.)
- Bilingual in any language a plus
