Front Desk Monitor

Volunteers of America–Greater New York is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Front Desk Monitor. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering telephone calls, receiving and assisting visitors, and controlling front door access at Commonwealth Veterans Residence, a single room occupancy (SRO) residence that provides permanent, supportive housing to formerly homeless single veteran men and women.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Polite and pleasant manner
• Efficient and firm
• Ability to operate a busy front desk/security operation
• Ability to perform diverse tasks with ease and maintain confidentiality
