Housing Specialist

Volunteers of America-Greater New York is seeking a Housing Specialist to implement trainings and develop permanent housing options for clients in a transitional family shelter. The Housing Specialist will conduct eligibility assessments, develop linkages with real estate companies, and track placements.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credits in Human Services field
• High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of related experience in shelter services
• Knowledge of federal guidelines for public and private low-income housing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Clean and valid driver’s license
