BD Lead - Payments - (APAC)

WalletConnect Pay is an end-to-end crypto and stablecoin payment method built on the world’s largest wallet network — already embedded in Stripe, Coinbase Commerce, Shopify, MoonPay, Shift4, and BitPay, with a landmark partnership with Ingenico bringing stablecoin payments to 40M+ terminals across 120+ countries. APAC is one of the fastest-moving regions for stablecoin adoption, digital payments innovation, and regulatory clarity around blockchain-enabled finance.

Requirements

• 7+ years in payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure with a strong APAC focus.
• Proven experience in partnerships, business development, or commercialisation — you’ve built and closed strategic deals in the region.
• Deep understanding of payment flows: acquiring, issuing, settlement, reconciliation, FX, KYC/AML, and regional regulatory frameworks.
• Strong existing network across the APAC payments ecosystem — PSPs, acquirers, fintechs, banks, or enterprise payment platforms.
• Ability to translate technical infrastructure into commercial value for partners who may not speak blockchain natively.
• Comfortable engaging with both traditional financial institutions and Web3-native companies.
• Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable operating across time zones in a globally distributed team.
