Job Description
Walters Group is a family-owned steel construction company seeking a Fitter (Afternoons) with a passion for fabrication and welding. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in fitting and welding structural steel, as well as excellent reading and communication skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of fitting/welding structural steel experience
- Completion of apprenticeship program in Metal Fabrication or Welding (asset)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to read a tape measure in both metric and imperial
- Ability to operate overhead cranes
- Current or past CWB certification for FCAW, MCAW
- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Organization skills and flexibility
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
