Senior Fitter

Walters Group is a family-owned steel construction company seeking a Senior Fitter for their Princeton Fabrication Facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and fitting structural steel assemblies, and will be part of a team that designs, fabricates, and constructs unique and complex commercial and industrial projects throughout North America.

Requirements

• 5 years of Fitting structural steel experience
• Completion of three year apprenticeship program in Metal Fabrication or Welding an asset
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to read a tape measure in both metric and imperial
• Ability to operate overhead cranes
• Current or past CWB certification for FCAW, MCAW
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
• Team player, able to interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates
• Organization skills and flexibility in managing changing priorities
• Communication skills - both written and oral
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Analytical and problem solving skills
