The Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care to patients in the emergency department at one of our community site locations. Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
Requirements
- M.S.N. - Master Of Science In Nursing - Nurse Practitioner
- APN licensure or ability to successfully obtain licensure within three months of date of hire
- Basic Life Support certification
- Certified Nurse Practitioner - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Certified Nurse Practitioner - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Minor procedural skills (i.e., suturing, abscess drainage, basic splinting)
- Emergency Nurse Practitioner or Certificate of Added Qualification in Emergency Medicine
- Three or more years of practicing in an emergency department setting
- Clinical Decision Making, Clinical Diagnostics, Disease Management, Epic EHR, Family Support, HIPAA Compliance, Interpersonal Communication, Patient Care, Patient Education, Patient Evaluations, Patient Management, Pharmacology, Preventive Care, Teamwork, Time Management
