Requirements

• Assist on the vessel in preparing barges for loading and discharging at ports.
• Build and break tow by using lines, wires, ratchets, and stationary winches.
• Perform standard housekeeping duties, painting, chipping, and transferring rigging.
• Vessel and barge maintenance, cooking, assisting in making bridges and locks.
• Lift or move objects that are heavy and awkward.
• Must be capable of lifting or moving objects that are heavy and awkward.
