Industrial Hygiene / HAZMAT Project Manager

Industrial Hygiene / HAZMAT Project Manager position at WSP in New York City, NY, responsible for providing technical services, managing employees, and performing environmental studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or other related scientific discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of experience working as an environmental scientist and completing environmental surveys, fieldwork, habitat and impact assessments, and/or construction monitoring
• Project management experience with small to mid-level projects including tracking hours and expenses for project work.
• Current NYS Department of Labor (NYS DOL) Licensed Asbestos Inspector / Project Designer and/or Asbestos Project Monitor
• NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Asbestos Investigator
• NYS DOL – Mold Assessor
• EPA Lead Inspector and/or Risk Assessor
• SSPC (C3) – Lead Supervisor/Competent Person for Commercial Building/Superstructures
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Valid driver's license. Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
• Must be able to use a computer and be functional using MS-Word, Excel, Powerpoint
