Mechanical Designer - Buildings systems

WSP is looking for a Mechanical Designer to join their Property & Buildings team, contributing to the design of mechanical systems for buildings across various projects. The role is suitable for early-career Mechanical Designers who want to grow their technical skills and work in a collaborative consulting environment.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.
• 1–4 years of related mechanical design or drafting experience (co-op or internship experience considered).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Foundational understanding of applicable building codes and standards.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Basic proficiency with technical documentation, spreadsheets, and office software (advanced Excel skills are an asset).
• An enthusiastic, eager-to-learn mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
