Job Description
YAI is hiring an Assistant Behavior Intervention Specialist to work directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role involves providing direct care services, training staff, and promoting community integration. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Psychology or Human Services, experience working in the field, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree in Psychology or Human Services
- Enrolled in 4-year degree in Psychology or Human Services field
- Experience working within the field of I/DD
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
- Demonstrated clinical skills
- Willing to take initiative
- Highly flexible to varied work schedule
- Experience in computer skills and ability to teach others
- Strong writing ability
- Demonstrated assertiveness/leadership skills
