Assistant Behavior Intervention Specialist- ABIS

YAI has an opening for an Assistant Behavior Intervention Specialist. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and a willingness to help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). The role involves teaching daily and independent living skills, providing individual and group counseling, and promoting community integration.

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree in Psychology or Human Services strongly preferred
• Enrolled in 4-year degree in Psychology or Human Services field
• Experience working within the field of ID/DD preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
• Willing to take initiative
• Highly flexible to varied work schedule
• Experience in computer skills and ability to teach others
• College level writing ability
• Must demonstrate assertiveness/leadership skills
• Must demonstrate clinical skills
