Job Description
YAI has an opening for an Assistant Behavior Intervention Specialist. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and a willingness to help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). The role blends together the DSP role and the clinical leadership role, with responsibilities including direct care services, training staff, and developing written, individualized habilitative plans.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree in Psychology or Human Services strongly preferred or enrolled in 4-year degree in Psychology or Human Services field
- Experience working within the field of ID/DD preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
- Willing to take initiative
- Highly flexible to varied work schedule
- Experience in computer skills and ability to teach others
- College level writing ability
- Must demonstrate assertiveness/leadership skills
- Must demonstrate clinical skills
