Job Description
This part-time, non-exempt Childcare Activity Leader position in a YMCA requires assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of class activities. The role focuses on ensuring children's social, physical, spiritual, and mental development before and after school. The position also involves classroom management, documentation, and compliance with state regulations.
Requirements
- Assists in planning, development, and implementation of classroom activities.
- Documents attendance, absences, and incidents in the classroom.
- Maintains a clean and organized classroom/program area.
- Documents activities and incidents following Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) guidelines.
- Handles discipline and communication with parents and supervisors.
- Conducts required screenings and assessments (according to Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) regulations).
