Job Description
The YMCA of Southern Nevada is looking for lifeguards and swim instructors to join our team this summer. In this position, you will monitor activities in swimming areas to keep participants safe and provide lessons to people learning how to swim.
Requirements
- Enforce aquatic safety and maintenance standards and guidelines
- Monitor all activities in the aquatic area and assure the safety of members and guests
- Instruct swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines
- Maintain attendance and skill accomplishment records
- Promote association programs and objectives
- Builds and maintains a high standard of member service
- Follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers
- Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations
