Lead Design Engineer (Process - Clean)

We are looking for a Lead Design Engineer in water treatment process engineering to join the Engineering Design Team. The Lead Design Engineer will provide expert technical advice on water treatment processes and technologies, and will be responsible for providing process engineering support to the AMP 8 capital delivery programme, working in close collaboration with Yorkshire Water’s strategic planning partner and capital delivery partners on water treatment process designs, managing and updating Yorkshire Water’s Design Guidance documents, and supporting the development of standard designs.

Requirements

• A degree level qualification (or equivalent) in chemical engineering, chemistry or water treatment related discipline.
• Expert knowledge of water treatment processes.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical role in water treatment.
• Experience of process engineering design in the water industry.
• A strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide business audience, and the ability to influence people.
• Experience of working on multiple tasks to project deadlines.
• Full valid driving license with less than 6 points.
