Job Description
This Jr. Test Engineer role is responsible for verifying new releases of broadband network products, including OLTs, ONTs, and EMS, from field sales to production. The role involves testing for conformance to requirements, performance, and readiness for customer deployment, including regression and feature testing. The engineer will also reproduce field-reported issues in a lab environment and verify fixes.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, and Layer 2/3 switching.
- Experience with optical fiber, IP network test equipment, and OLT/ONTs.
- Solid understanding of OMCI, SIP, MGCP, H.248, router functions, GPON.
- Strong background in broadband technologies (GigE, Voice, Broadband).
- Proficient in SNMP and TR-069.
- Solid knowledge of Residential Gateway (RG) features (NAT, PPPoE, DDNS, etc.) and Linux systems.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (Telecom Engineering, Computer Science), or equivalent experience.
