Job Description
The Sr. Test Engineer will verify new releases of broadband network products, including OLTs, ONTs, and EMS, before deployment to field sales and production. This role involves regression, feature testing, field reproduction, and system testing, along with creating test recommendations. The engineer also assists field support engineers and ensures the accuracy of data collected during testing.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, and Layer 2/3 switching.
- Experience with optical fiber, IP network test equipment, and OLT/ONTs.
- Solid understanding of OMCI, SIP, MGCP, H.248, router functions, GPON, and router functions, firewalls.
- Strong background in broadband technologies, including GigE, Voice, and Broadband deployments.
- Proficient in SNMP and TR-069.
- Working knowledge of Linux systems and virtual machines, such as VirtualBox or VMware.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
