Family Support Practitioner

We are looking for a Family Support Practitioner to join our dedicated and compassionate team in Glasgow. The role will involve building trusting relationships with families, understanding their strengths and challenges, and advocating for the needs of children and young people. The successful candidate will work directly with families to identify what support they need, help them navigate difficulties, and connect them with the right resources and services.

Requirements

• SVQ 3 in social care or equivalent
• Post qualification experience of working with children, young people and families
• Experience of working with vulnerable families and a broad understanding of their barriers
• Knowledge and experience of implementing methods of assessment and interventions
• Able to work flexibly (evenings and weekends)
• Must be competent in report writing and using computer software packages such as Microsoft excel, Microsoft word, teams, and outlook
• Driving licence and access to a car
