Job Description
Action for Children is looking for a Residential Support Worker to join their team in Edinburgh, UK. The successful candidate will work with children and young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviors, providing support and care in a safe and welcoming environment. The role involves planning and coordinating care, communicating with young people and colleagues, and representing the needs and views of the young people in professional meetings.
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or recognized equivalent
- Experience working in a care setting
- Ability to build real, trusting relationships with young people and their families
- Confidence using different ways to communicate
- Calm and solution-focused mindset
