Brown Edwards is seeking a Real Estate Closing Officer to join its Covenant Real Estate Services Team in Roanoke. The role involves managing all facets of real estate transactions from file opening through post-closing, requiring strong attention to detail and a client-focused mindset.
Requirements
- College degree preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in real estate closings, escrow, title, or a related field preferred
- Must be a Notary Public or able to become notary bonded
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and required auto insurance
- Solid understanding of escrow bookkeeping, title clearance, real estate regulations, and closing documentation
- Working knowledge of payoff calculations, tax proration, interest, and settlement statements
- Ability to interpret lender documents and recording requirements
- Strong organizational, communication, and client service skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously while meeting deadlines
