The Simulator Technician will perform all preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on several CAE and non-CAE flight simulators and associated devices at the CAE Montreal Training Center. The role involves technical operational support, technical investigative and integration support, and administrative duties, documentation, and projects.
Requirements
- College diploma (DEC) in Electronics, Computer Science, Aircraft Maintenance, or equivalent.
- Related experience in software and electronic modification and manipulation.
- Knowledge of: Windows and Unix, Programming languages such as C, C++, FORTRAN, Scripting languages (asset).
- Interest in and understanding of the relationship between technical hardware and software interaction as it relates to aviation simulation.
- Familiarity with basic electronic theory and principles and electronic testing equipment.
- Aeronautical knowledge (asset), including: Avionics, Flight dynamics, Aircraft systems and simulated systems.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written proficiency in French and English.
