Material Coordinator

Take the next step with an exciting and growing company! The Central Wire (CWI) Group of Companies is a world-class manufacturer looking for a Material Coordinator to join their team. As a Material Coordinator, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, cleanliness, safety checks, and management of materials within a warehouse or industrial setting.

Requirements

• Ensure that material is delivered, ready, and staged for machines.
• Unload incoming wire rod and place it in designated storage area.
• Recording coil weight and yard location when storing tagged wire.
• Handling the removal and segregation of scrap and trash throughout the manufacturing area.
• Move material from rejection area to yard.
• Ensure finished product is delivered to appropriate department.
• Read work orders/bill of materials to determine product specifications.
• Responsible for quantity and quality to meet efficiency rates.
• Obtain all required approvals.
• Label packages.
• Use of forklifts, cranes, and hand carts to load/unload machine and to move material to and from machines.
• Ensure and observe all safety and housekeeping rules and guidelines, including conducting daily safety inspections.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Inspect material during processing to ensure proper quality is maintained.
• Complete all documentation and turn in the work order to the supervisor.
• Train new operators.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Work in confined spaces.
• Complete all assigned training, including monthly health and safety sessions.
• Other duties as assigned.
