Job Description
The Chautauqua Institution is seeking a Server (Special Events) for seasonal employment. The successful candidate will work full-time, serving guests and overseeing events at the Athenaeum Hotel. Responsibilities include setting up and tearing down events, serving food and beverages, and working flexible hours to accommodate guest needs.
Requirements
- Set up and tear down of any event
- Thorough knowledge of event food and beverage service
- Ability to carry trays, serve guests, oversee and restock buffets
- Occasional preparation of food, transportation of items to catered events, setting tables, clearing/bus tables
- Basic understanding of Athenaeum Hotel's history and activities
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate guest and special event needs
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
