Job Description
The Center for Health Equity & Community Wellness seeks to eliminate inequities in health and wellness. The Bureau of Bronx Neighborhood Health is seeking Community Health Workers to work with community partners to promote health services, resources, and education. Responsibilities include developing relationships with community partners, delivering presentations, and maintaining data.
Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities
- Demonstrated capability to lead implementation of special community level initiatives
- Excellent organizational skills and highly detail oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with community groups
- Knowledge of Bronx, Brooklyn, and East Harlem local communities and local organization leadership
- Comfortable speaking in public
- Bilingual Spanish, French and Chinese language proficiency encouraged to apply
