Job Description
The Department of Social Services is recruiting for Supervising Special Officer I positions with Peace Officer status and arrest powers to serve as a Sergeant for Police Operations. The positions will be responsible for providing a high level of security and safety for staff, customers, and visitors at an assigned HRA location throughout the five boroughs.
Requirements
- Four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent
- One year of full-time satisfactory experience in the field of law enforcement, protection or security
- Must be qualified to serve as Peace Officers and satisfy the training requirements established by the State of New York for Peace Officers
- Certification in law enforcement must be maintained for the duration of employment
