Job Description
Coastal Villages Longline is seeking a Mate to operate a Freezer Longliner off the western coast of Washington and Alaska. The role involves navigating a vessel under Captain’s supervision, assisting in safety drills, and reporting requirements. Applicants are expected to have a USCG License and endorsements and provide basic mariner documentation.
Requirements
- Current USCG License with STCW endorsements
- Current or recent merchant mariner documentation
- Minimum of two years experience as deckhand or bosun on a commercial fishing vessel
- Two years or more experience as a deckhand or bosun on a commercial fishing vessel
- Basic understanding of USCG Oil Transfer Procedures and documentation
- Ability to pass basic and advanced fire fighting courses
