Job Description
Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks a Sous Chef to support daily culinary operations in a residential healthcare facility serving approximately 85 residents. The role assists the Executive Chef in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that support resident health, satisfaction, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Associate degree (A.S.) in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional culinary experience
- Progressive culinary or kitchen leadership experience in healthcare, senior living, or institutional foodservice
- Experience with batch cooking and smaller-scale residential operations
- Strong understanding of modified diets (e.g., texture-modified, therapeutic, allergen-sensitive meals)
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, nutrition standards, and cost controls
- Experience working in a resident-focused or regulated environment
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and email
- ServSafe certification
