Production Technician

Role Overview

We are looking for a Production Technician to join our team at our Hermiston OR Parent Seed location. The successful candidate will be responsible for shipping and receiving activities, seed field management, and general repair and maintenance activities. This is a challenging role that requires initiative, a love of learning, and a strong work ethic.

What You Will Do

The Production Technician will be responsible for shipping and receiving activities, including interplant movement, warehousing, and inventory management of bulk and bagged seed. They will also maintain a positive working relationship with growers, detasseling and roguing contractors, and seed field inspectors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Good computer skills
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work a rotating shift and overtime hours
• Forklift operation experience
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
