Fife Council is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Social Worker to join their newly formed Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) & Continuing Care Service. The role involves engaging and supporting young people navigating independence and assisting in the assessment and development of pathway plans.
Requirements
- Assess need, risks and strengths and develop care plans, ensuring young people are involved in their planning.
- Establish close and effective working relationships with colleagues across a range of services to provide support to young people, their families and caregivers.
- Have an understanding of the national frameworks to support engagement with UASC population.
- Be skilled at building positive relationships and resilience in families, work in collaboration with partners, e.g. Health Service, Education, Police and Voluntary Sector Agencies.
