Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with multi-state payroll processing and a strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations. They will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, collecting and auditing bonuses, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and federal, state, and local legal requirements.
Requirements
- Accurately process multi-state bi-weekly and weekly payroll
- Collect, audit, and upload monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc bonuses
- Review and audit electronic timekeeping records
- Prepare weekly and bi-weekly general ledger files
- Assist in verifying, calculating, and processing wage attachments
- Manage all employee tax and direct deposit functions
- Respond to associate questions and concerns related to payroll
- Generate monthly and ad hoc reporting for corporate and operational departments
- Complete unemployment processing for payroll related components
- Open, review, and distribute incoming payroll related mail
- Create and complete all check requests
- Work with multi-state payroll requirements
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and federal, state, and local legal requirements
- Proactively audit payroll data to maintain accuracy and data integrity
- Collaborate with managers and employees to resolve discrepancies
- Assist the Payroll Director, Payroll Supervisor, and other payroll team members as needed
