Job Description
Hermeus is a venture capital-backed aerospace and defense technology company specializing in aircraft and hypersonic vehicles. They are focused on building high-speed products for the Department of Defense and are a lean team responsible for both design and assembly. This role involves building and inspecting primary and secondary structures on the Quarterhorse vehicle, driving continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, and leading projects to meet quality and delivery goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline
- 2+ years of experience in aviation or aerospace manufacturing environment
- Experience with prototype development, design for manufacturability, and applying quality tools
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to make appropriate assumptions and perform trade studies
- Experience with metallic manufacturing techniques and equipment
- Experience with CAD and GD&T
- Experience with control and monitoring of complex automated systems
- Experience with flight development programs
- Ability to work overtime
- US export control compliance status
