Assistant Chief Engineer

Role Overview

The Assistant Chief Engineer is a key member of JLL's Facilities team, supporting the Chief Engineer in overseeing building operations, maintenance, and engineering services. This role helps ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of all facility systems while supporting sustainability initiatives, operational excellence, and high-quality service delivery across a multi-building site.

What You Will Do

Assisting the Chief Engineer with daily operations of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems; supervising and coordinating maintenance staff and contractors across first and second shifts; monitoring and maintaining building automation and control systems to optimize energy efficiency and performance.

Requirements

• Experience supporting or managing commercial building operations and maintenance

• Ability to supervise engineering staff and coordinate contractors effectively
• Strong computer skills with experience in administrative work, documentation, and billing
• Availability to work first shift (7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
• Ability to respond to emergency situations as needed
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
