Assistant Chief Engineer

Role Overview

The Assistant Chief Engineer plays a key role in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all facility equipment and building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. This position is responsible for supervising, leading, and supporting the engineering team to ensure optimal building performance and safety.

What You Will Do

Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems and components. Analyze and troubleshoot building systems and equipment to resolve malfunctions.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent and technical training or degree
• Universal EPA / CFC license
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License
• Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel), CMMS, and internet-based software
