Kern Medical, founded in 1867, is a 222‑bed acute‑care teaching hospital serving the Fresno‑Los Angeles region. The hospital offers a Level II trauma program, high‑risk pregnancy care, inpatient psychiatric services, and a network of integrated outpatient clinics. As an academic partner of UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine, it trains more than 200 residents, fellows, and medical students annually across specialties such as internal medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine.
