Ombudsman Educational Services is seeking an IEP Coordinator to support high-quality special education programming and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background in special education, experience working with students with disabilities, and strong collaboration and communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a closely related field of study
- Master's degree or higher in special education or a closely related field of study preferred
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a valid AZ state teaching credential
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an AZ state special education instruction credential
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training
- Minimum 1 year prior relevant teaching experience, preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting
- Prior experience and/or highly knowledgeable in curriculum development, differentiation and instruction in a classroom setting
- Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, effective teaching strategies, classroom management systems, data-based decision making, and working with students with individualized education plans (IEP's)
