Job Description
The role of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) involves providing daily nursing care to assigned residents. Responsibilities include providing routine nursing care, assisting with dental and mouth care, bath functions, dressing/undressing, hair care, nail care, and helping residents with bowel and bladder functions. This position is on-site and reports to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
Requirements
- Must have a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate or be enrolled in a Temporary Nursing Assistant Program.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to age-related resident needs.
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
- Possess the ability and willingness to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
- Possess patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition.
