We're seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to join our S&P Global Enterprise Data Organization team in Calgary, Canada. The role involves supporting and expanding our cloud infrastructure, monitoring and alerting frameworks, onboarding/migration projects, and interacting with the wider QA, and Development team. You'll work collaboratively to improve application reliability, performance, and scalability, and design, implement, and manage infrastructure using GitHub/CI/CD/Terraform on AWS cloud platform.
Requirements
- Collaborate with software development teams to improve application reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Provide BAU Production support, and resolve issues either spotted by monitoring or reported by users before causing business impact
- Develop scripts in Python/Unix shell scripting/AWS Lambda to automate tasks and streamline processes.
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using GitHub/CI/CD/Terraform on AWS cloud platform utilizing best practices.
- Comfortable with writing database queries and performing database management with an added advantage of experience in Document-Oriented databases.
- Set up and configure monitoring solutions, including Grafana, PagerDuty to ensure system health and respond to incidents promptly.
- Availability to occasionally participate in weekend production releases/deployments.
