Tangent Materials is seeking a Pricing Manager to lead strategic pricing initiatives and optimize pricing strategy, improve process, and support profitable growth across multiple product lines and customer segments.
Requirements
- Develop, maintain, and optimize pricing strategies for direct customer accounts, distribution partners, and mass market channel
- Analyze pricing performance, margin trends, and market conditions to recommend strategic adjustments
- Establish pricing governance, approval workflows, and pricing discipline across the organization
- Support annual price increase initiatives and targeted margin improvement programs
- Evaluate customer profitability based on volume, freight, rebates, discounts, and service requirements
- Manage distributor pricing structures including tiered price lists (Distributor Net, Dealer Net, MSRP/MAP), discount schedules, and special pricing agreements (SPAs)
- Develop and enforce channel pricing policies that protect margin integrity, prevent direct-vs-distributor price erosion, and resolve pricing disputes between direct accounts and distribution partners
- Monitor competitive positioning and market pricing trends within the manufacturing sector
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to structure strategic customer and distributor agreements
- Build and maintain pricing models, dashboards, and reporting tools
- Conduct margin analysis by product, customer, channel, and region
- Partner with Finance to support forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis
- Identify opportunities for pricing standardization and process improvement
- Assist with ERP pricing maintenance and pricing data integrity
