Job Description
Join The Doe Fund on our mission to break the cycles of homelessness, addiction, and recidivism. We are seeking a Mental Health Counselor for our Crotona Park residence, which provides long-term residential care and twenty-four-hour support services to homeless men and women living with HIV/AIDS.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field and a LCSW
- At least one year of experience working with people who are homeless, living with HIV/AIDS, have substance abuse histories, or suffer from mental illness
- At least 5 years of experience in the mental health field
- Knowledge of benefits in the New York City Metro area, HIV/AIDS, psychiatric diagnoses, substance abuse, and mental health issues
- Solid computer skills – internet, Microsoft Office, and charting database
- Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills
