National Programme Officer job at UNIDO to work in Abuja, Nigeria, responsible for conducting analytical work, updating industrial performance profiles, and representing UNIDO in regional and country forums.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business management, engineering, environmental studies, agriculture, or other closely related fields
- 8 years of relevant professional experience for first-level university degree, 5 years for advanced university degree, or 3 years for Doctorate
- Progressively responsible professional experience in design and implementation of technical cooperation projects at national level
- Relevant experience in agriculture, environment, and energy linked to industry
- Experience in all phases of the Project Cycle
- Knowledge of UNIDO mandate and portfolio in the countries of coverage
- Solid knowledge and experience in project development, monitoring, and reporting of technical cooperation activities of the UN or similar institutions
- Adequate knowledge of Government working procedures in the area of sustainable industrial development as well as United Nations Systems
- Strong analytical capabilities and proven ability to contribute to knowledge products and reports
- Good knowledge of national institutions and demonstrated public relations
- Fluency in written and spoken English, fluency in or working knowledge of other official language(s) of the United Nations desirable
